Who is Manasa Varanasi, winner of Miss India World 2020?

Manasa Varanasi, from Telangana, has been crowned Miss India World 2020. The 23-year-old emerged as the winner of the VLCC Femina Miss India World 2020 title, while Manika Sheokand was crowned Miss Grand India 2020 and Manya Singh was the runner-up. The grand finale will be telecast on February 28 on Colors TV channel. Here's all you need to know about Varanasi.

Varanasi is an analyst by profession

A true-blue example of "beauty with brain," Varanasi has studied engineering and currently works as a financial information exchange analyst. She completed her school education from the Global Indian and then graduated in Computer Science (CS) from Vasavi College of Engineering, reports say. She is employed as a financial information exchange analyst at a multinational corporation.

She likes expressing herself through dance and music

As per reports, Varanasi is trained in the classical Indian dance form - Bharatnatyam. She also has an interest in reading books, listening to music, and doing Yoga, among others things.

Curiosity made her learn sign language

Varanasi has also received training in sign language. "I learned to sign because...learning makes me happy. When I started learning the language, it was mostly my curiosity driving me. But over time, as I started listening with my eyes, I started understanding the beauty of deaf culture," she said. "I hope we all work together in making society more inclusive for the deaf community."

She draws inspiration from this Bollywood star

The Miss India winner is a huge fan of film star Priyanka Chopra. "Priyanka Chopra really stands out to me because she's an explorer - she has always chosen to push her boundaries and made her mark in various spaces - music, movies, entrepreneurship, social work and the list goes on." "It is her versatility and strength that I draw inspiration from," she shared.

Varanasi now gearing up for Miss World

Miss India 2020 contest was judged by film actors - Neha Dhupia, Chitrangada Singh, and Pulkit Samrat. To note, Varanasi is now all set to represent India at the 70th Miss World pageant in December 2021.
