Haryana 'godman' arrested for allegedly raping, filming 120 women
A 60-year-old chief priest at the Balaknath Temple in Haryana's Tohana was arrested after videos of him raping a woman surfaced online. "Suspicious articles" were seized from the house of Baba Amarpuri, police said. Reports claimed these included over 100 CDs with videos of physical intimacy. Meanwhile, police have urged people to not circulate the videos, warning it's a "criminal act."

According to The Tribune, the 'baba' used to lure women on the pretext of treating their problems. He would take them to a room fitted with cameras, drugged them and rape them. He would record the act and blackmail the victims, forcing them to have sex with him repeatedly. He has been booked for rape, blackmail and criminal intimidation.
TOI reported that a rape case was filed against Amarpuri nine months ago. However, he had gotten bail. Denying the fresh allegations, he maintained he was being framed for not giving the police 'protection money.' The clips that led to his arrest were reportedly given to police by relatives of one of his victims. Police will now identify and take statements from the women.
Currently, self-styled 'godman' Asaram is serving life in jail for raping a 16-year-old devotee in his Jodhpur ashram. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has also been imprisoned for 20 years for raping two disciples in his Sirsa ashram years ago.
