Bank holiday today: All banks closed nationwide

All banks—public and private—will be closed nationwide this Saturday, November 8, thanks to the RBI's second Saturday holiday.
In Karnataka, it also lines up with Kanakadasa Jayanthi, but since both fall on the same day, there's no extra day off for bank staff.

Digital banking still up and running

Physical branches are out of action for the day, so things like cheque clearing or in-person cash withdrawals will have to wait.
But don't worry—digital banking is still up and running. You can use net banking, mobile apps, UPI payments, and ATMs as usual.

When will banks remain open?

Apart from Sundays and this second Saturday shutdown, banks will also be closed on November 22 (the fourth Saturday).
The third and fifth Saturdays (November 15 and 29) are regular working days.
