Bengaluru set for big traffic jams on Wednesday—here's what to know
Heads up, Bengaluru! Major traffic jams are expected this Wednesday thanks to the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board's Golden Jubilee bash at Palace Grounds.
The event runs from 7am to 4pm and is bringing in a crowd of about 80,000—including the Chief Minister—so the city's traffic police have rolled out special advisories and diversions.
Which roads to avoid and what's restricted
Expect heavy traffic on Krishna Vihara Gate, Ballari Road, CV Raman Road, and Jayamahal Road.
If you're headed to Kempegowda International Airport, skip Ballari Road—try Old High Grounds Junction or Nagawara instead.
Coming from the airport? Routes through Hebbal or Kuvempu Circle are your best bet.
There are also bans on heavy vehicles at Hebbal Junction and no parking allowed on Palace Road, Nandidurga Road, and a few other key spots.
Plan ahead so you don't get stuck!
