A Swiggy Instamart report just dropped some wild numbers: someone in Bengaluru tipped delivery partners a jaw-dropping ₹68,600—the highest total tips by any user in India this year.
The report, covering millions of orders across 128 cities, also spotlights how people aren't shy about spending big online—from one person dropping over ₹22 lakh on Instamart, including iPhones and gold coins, to Mumbai carts loaded with more than ₹15 lakh worth of gold.

Quirky orders and tipping habits

The data gets even more interesting: a Chennai user ordered condoms 228 times for over ₹1 lakh, while another Bengaluru order was just ₹10 for a printout.
Tipping really takes off during festivals and late-night rushes—on New Year's Eve alone, Bengaluru users tipped Blinkit nearly ₹1.8 lakh!
