Bengaluru woman exposes Rapido driver's theft attempt
A Bengaluru woman called out a Rapido auto driver after catching him trying to steal money from her handbag during a ride.
Model and designer Janhavi Kshatriyas shared the story on Instagram, saying the driver made her uncomfortable by staring at her and making an inappropriate comment, which put her on alert.
'He was trying to unzip my bag'
Kshatriyas had asked to pay early because her phone battery was low. When she stepped out briefly to buy coffee powder, she returned to find him unzipping her bag.
The driver claimed he was just "trying to keep the bag safe" and blamed someone nearby for what happened.
Rapido promises investigation
Rapido apologized for the incident, saying customer safety is their top priority and promising a thorough investigation.
They tried reaching out to Kshatriyas but reportedly didn't hear back.
Meanwhile, the video has gone viral, with many online demanding strict action against the driver.
