Calcutta HC probes Kolkata college, police over gangrape case

The Calcutta High Court has told the West Bengal government to file a detailed report on how it's handling the gangrape case of a South Kolkata Law College student.
This move came after a public interest plea, and the judges also ordered that college union rooms should stay closed unless officially needed.

TL;DR

How did the accused get inside campus?

The court wasn't happy with how the college and police handled things, especially since there were earlier threats against the student.
Judges pointed out issues like people getting into campus without permission, no CCTV cameras, and weak monitoring. They also questioned how one accused got inside so easily.
The next hearing is set for July 17, while the victim's family says they're cooperating with investigators so far.
