Central panel rejects Andhra's Polavaram project proposal

Andhra Pradesh's big plan to move extra Godavari river water to the drought-hit Rayalaseema region just hit a wall.
The central Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC) turned down the Polavaram-Banakacharla Link Project, saying there are still unresolved legal disputes from way back in 2005.
