Core fog season kicks off; thunderstorms on the way for Tamil Nadu

The IMD says fog season is here (Dec 15-Jan 15), and it's starting strong—visibility dropped to just 50 meters in parts of North-West India like West Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi.
Meanwhile, very dense fog is expected over Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh in the next couple of days.
Down south, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal could see thunderstorms and lightning soon, while gusty winds are set to sweep across the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
