Cyclone Ditwah: India steps up to help Sri Lanka after deadly storm

After Cyclone Ditwah hit Sri Lanka hard, India quickly launched Operation Sagar Bandhu to send much-needed help.
Indian Air Force planes flew in 21 tons of emergency supplies like tents, tarpaulins, blankets, hygiene kits, and ready-to-eat meals.
Plus, 80 NDRF personnel were flown in as part of the mission.

The Indian Navy's INS Vikrant and INS Udaygiri delivered extra food and essentials, while Chetak helicopters teamed up with Sri Lankan forces for search and rescue.
The cyclone has left over 43,900 people affected and caused 132 deaths.
