Cyclone Ditwah leaves Tamil Nadu's irrigation tanks overflowing

Cyclone Ditwah has brought a massive boost to Tamil Nadu's irrigation tanks, with the number of full tanks jumping from 2,614 to 3,865 in just 10 days.
The cyclone formed near Sri Lanka on November 27 and intensified before weakening into a low pressure area on December 3 and becoming less marked by December 4.
Which districts saw the biggest impact?
Madurai and Tirunelveli topped the list for newly filled tanks, with Madurai now having a record 463 full.
Other districts like Tenkasi, Thanjavur, and Tiruvallur also saw big increases.
Meanwhile, Chengalpattu led in tanks nearly at capacity (76-99% full), followed by Ramanathapuram and Pudukottai.
