Cyclone Ditwah to make landfall on November 30; rain alert

India

Cyclone Ditwah is moving in from Sri Lanka and the Bay of Bengal, with the IMD expecting it to hit north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and south Andhra Pradesh early on November 30.
Heavy rain—sometimes extremely heavy—is likely across these areas on November 29 and 30.

Why bother?

Winds could reach up to 90km/h, bringing rough seas and a risk of storm surge along the coast.
Ditwah has already caused severe flooding and claimed 56 lives in Sri Lanka.
In India, local authorities are gearing up for possible floods, fallen trees, and travel disruptions, with disaster response teams ready just in case.
Stay alert if you're in the region!
