Delhi blast: Chemical shops sealed after explosive materials traced
India
After the Red Fort blast, investigators found two Faridabad chemical shops—BR Scientific and Chemicals and Paul Chemicals—had sold ammonium nitrate fertilizers to the accused doctors, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie and Dr. Shaheen Saeed.
These chemicals were later used to make explosives for the attack.
Shops broke rules, investigation widens
Turns out, both shops were stocking way more chemicals than allowed, didn't have valid licenses, and weren't keeping track of who was buying what.
Acting on a committee's recommendation, city officials sealed both shops with police present.
The investigation is still on.
