Rajasthan HC backs live-in rights for young adults

Big news from Rajasthan: the High Court just ruled that adults can choose to be in live-in relationships—even if they're under the legal marriage age.
This came after an 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man from Kota asked for protection, saying they were being threatened by the woman's family because of their relationship.

Court says personal freedom comes 1st

Justice Anoop Dhand made it clear that everyone's right to life and personal liberty (yep, Article 21) matters more than marriage age laws.
The court told local police to make sure the couple is safe and not harassed by anyone, especially their families.
This decision sends a strong message: live-in relationships aren't illegal in India, and it's up to the state to protect individual choices.
