Delhi NCR rolls out new anti-pollution moves

India

Delhi just announced a bunch of fresh steps to fight its stubborn air pollution.
After talks with central and state leaders, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared that anti-smog guns, mechanized road sweepers, and water sprinklers are being deployed across Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon, and Greater Noida.
The goal: cleaner air for everyone—fast.

What else is changing?

There's now a strict 72-hour deadline to fix potholes (no more bumpy rides!), and construction sites must use water sprinklers to keep dust down—Chief Minister Rekha Gupta is making sure of it.
Plus, Delhi's set to get 100 new road sweepers, mist-spraying tube wells for cleaner streets, smarter road planning under the 'Gaurav Path' model, and a big tree-planting drive.
Still, with the Air Quality Index at a worrying 376 right now, these changes can't come soon enough.
