Delhi Police files FIR against Gandhis in National Herald case
Delhi Police has filed a new FIR against Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi over the National Herald case.
The complaint, registered on October 3, also names Sam Pitroda and companies like Associated Journals Ltd (AJL), Young Indian, and Dotex Merchandise.
The main allegation? That AJL—worth about ₹2,000 crore—was fraudulently taken over through Young Indian.
How it started and what's next
This all began with a 2014 complaint by ex-BJP MP Subramanian Swamy, which led to an Enforcement Directorate probe. Investigators say Dotex transferred ₹1 crore to Young Indian for the deal and call Dotex a "shell company."
Now, police plan to question AJL shareholders about these money transfers.
Congress says they weren't told about the FIR and have called the whole thing political vendetta.
