Delhi wakes up to chilly weather and stubborn air pollution

India

Delhi just got a lot colder, with temperatures dropping to 6.4°C—way below the usual for this time of year.
The IMD says the chill isn't going away soon, and we might see lows between 5-7°C as cold winds stick around.
Even with a bit more wind, the day stayed cooler than normal at 23.7°C.

Air quality still 'very poor'—and not improving soon

Breathing easy is tough right now: Delhi's Air Quality Index (AQI) hovered in the 'very poor' range all day Wednesday, starting at 376 and only dipping slightly by evening.
Some spots even hit 'severe' levels, like Nehru Nagar peaking at 436.
Experts warn this pollution isn't going anywhere until at least December 6, even though stronger winds should help prevent things from getting worse.
