Delhi's air quality improves slightly, but still 'very poor'

India

Delhi's air got a bit better on Tuesday, with the AQI dipping to 291 thanks to some helpful westerly winds.
Still, at 18 monitoring stations—including Alipur and Anand Vihar—air quality remained in the "very poor" zone, so breathing easy isn't really an option yet.

Health risks for kids, seniors

PM2.5 and PM10 numbers are still above safe limits, which means real health risks—especially for kids, seniors, and anyone with breathing issues.
Stubble burning in nearby states is making things worse; over 300 new cases were reported.
Climate activist Licypriya Kangujam even called for a health emergency in Delhi because of how bad it's gotten.
