Delhi's air quality stays 'poor' as cold wave alert hits

India

Delhi's air is still tough to breathe, with the AQI recorded at 300 at 7 am—solidly in the "poor" zone.
On top of that, the IMD has put out a yellow alert for a cold wave on Friday, and some areas like Chandni Chowk and RK Puram are seeing even worse pollution levels.

Why does this matter?

With temperatures dropping to 4-6°C and more chilly days expected this winter, the mix of cold weather and bad air isn't great for anyone—especially if you have health issues or need to be outside.
