Delhi's AQI drops to 218 amid massive clean-up efforts
India
Delhi's air quality just saw a sharp improvement, with the AQI dropping from 373 to 218—no rain involved, which even surprised the experts.
Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa credited this progress to over 1,200 enforcement teams and hundreds of anti-smog guns working across the city.
Not all is clear yet
A big part of the credit goes to coordinated government clean-up efforts like daily mechanical sweeping. Weather helped too: lower humidity and light winds pushed pollutants away.
