Vidya Balan to reunite with Akshay in Anees Bazmee's next

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is reportedly reuniting with his former co-star Vidya Balan for an upcoming film directed by Anees Bazmee. The actor-director duo is collaborating after 14 years, having last worked together on the 2011 movie Thank You. A source told HT City that Balan was a natural choice for the project due to her "effortless chemistry" with Kumar.

Kumar is currently juggling multiple projects, including Welcome To The Jungle, Haiwaan, and Bhooth Bhangla. On the other hand, Balan was last seen in Do Aur Do Pyaar and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 both releasing in 2024. Meanwhile, Bazmee has many projects lined up for the next couple of years, including No Entry sequel and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.
