Domestic help accuses DMK functionary of fraud

A 67-year-old domestic worker, M. Savithri from Palayamkottai, says a local DMK woman functionary took ₹3 lakh from her after promising her son a government electrician job with a ₹60,000 monthly salary.
Savithri raised the money by pawning her jewelry, but three years later, the job never materialized.

Job post didn't exist, accuser tells cops

When Savithri checked with Tirunelveli Corporation about the job, she learned no such post existed.
After she asked for her money back, the accused and her son allegedly threatened both Savithri and her son.
She has now filed a complaint with city police; authorities have forwarded it for further investigation.
