Haryana: 2 accidents reported due to dense fog, several injured
What's the story
Dense fog and poor visibility led to two major vehicle pile-ups on Haryana's highways early on Sunday. On National Highway 52, near Hisar's Dhiktana Moda, a state roadways bus collided with a truck, followed by another roadways bus, a car, and a motorcycle. Another major accident occurred on National Highway 352D in the Rewari district, involving three to four buses that collided with each other amid reduced visibility.

In the Rewari accident, several passengers were injured and rushed to the nearby hospitals for treatment; the exact number of the injured is yet to be confirmed. The police arrived at the scene soon after the incident and launched an investigation into the matter, although a preliminary assessment suggested low visibility as the possible cause.

Multi-vehicle collision in Greater Noida, no casualties
Separately, on Sunday morning, a similar multi-vehicle collision that involved around six vehicles took place on National Highway 91 in Greater Noida. This accident was also likely caused by dense fog and poor visibility. While several vehicles were damaged and several people sustained minor injuries in this incident, no fatalities were reported, according to the police.
Aftermath
Traffic jam caused by Greater Noida accident
The collision in Greater Noida briefly caused a traffic jam on the highway. However, police personnel arrived promptly at the scene to clear the congestion, using cranes to clear the damaged vehicles and restore normal traffic movement.
