Heavy rains predicted in West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh

Heads up: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) says West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh are in for heavy to extremely heavy rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds until June 22.
Central India can also expect cooler weather, with temperatures dropping by 2-4°C.

Southern states like Tamil Nadu and Kerala will see light to moderate showers till June 20, while coastal Karnataka might get drenched on June 17.
Saurashtra and Kutch in the west could be hit by over 20cm of rain the same day.
Gusty winds—up to 70km/h—are likely in parts of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir may get heavy rain toward the end of the week too.
