IIT Kharagpur student arrested for rape in Thane

Adwait Khochare, a 23-year-old third-year student at IIT-Kharagpur, was arrested in Thane after allegedly raping a 13-year-old specially-abled girl. The incident happened while he was home on study break; he reportedly lured the girl with promises of new clothes. The girl's mother, who works as a ragpicker, went to the police after her daughter told her about what happened.
