India just pulled off its 1st successful K-4 submarine missile launch

India

India has finally nailed the underwater launch of its K-4 ballistic missile from INS Arighat in the Bay of Bengal.
After a previous unsuccessful submarine test, this test saw the DRDO-developed missile fly almost its full 3,500km range—showing India's growing strength beneath the waves.

What makes the K-4 special?

The K-4 isn't your average missile. It's about as long as a bus, weighs up to 20 tons, and can carry a seriously heavy warhead.
With high-tech navigation (thanks to NavIC) and speeds faster than Mach 5, it's built for precision and power.

Why does this matter?

With INS Arighat now carrying these long-range missiles, India can reach all of Pakistan and most of China from underwater—completing its nuclear "triad."
That means stronger defense and a solid second-strike backup under India's no-first-use policy.
