India, Nepal to hold annual border talks after Kathmandu protests

India

India and Nepal are meeting for their annual border talks from November 12 to 14, right after Gen Z-led protests in Kathmandu shook things up in September.
It's the first big sit-down between India's Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Nepal's Armed Police Force (APF) since the unrest, marking a significant moment for both sides.

What to expect from the talks

SSB chief Sanjay Singhal and APF chief Raju Aryal will lead discussions focusing on stopping cross-border crimes and sharing intel faster.
With 1,751km of open border to manage, both teams want to boost cooperation and keep things peaceful—showing they're serious about tackling issues together after last year's meeting in Kathmandu.
