Indian Coast Guard rescues 21 after ships collide off Kandla

Two merchant ships, MV KMAX EMPEROR and MV TRUE MARINER, collided off Gujarat's coast near Kandla.
The Indian Coast Guard jumped in quickly, rescuing 21 crew members from one vessel. Three others remained onboard to support its operations.
Coast Guard coordinates pollution control efforts
After the collision, the Coast Guard began pollution-control efforts to safeguard Gujarat's shoreline.
They are closely coordinating with the Directorate General of Shipping, central agencies and the state administration, keeping a close eye to make sure both maritime safety and the environment are protected.
