Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Mumbai after bomb-threat

An IndiGo flight from Kuwait to Hyderabad was diverted to Mumbai after a bomb threat. Per reports, the airline received the threat via email at Hyderabad Airport, which led to the decision of diverting the aircraft. Data on FlightRadar24 showed that the aircraft departed from Kuwait at 1:56am and landed in Maharashtra's Mumbai at 8:10am. The flight, 6E-1234, has since landed safely and is now parked in an isolation bay for security checks.

All passengers on board the flight are reported to be safe. Airport and airline officials are now working with law enforcement agencies to investigate the bomb threat. A statement from the airline is awaited. This is not the first threat to an aircraft in the last few days. On November 23, a Bahrain-Hyderabad Gulf Air flight was diverted to Mumbai due to a bomb threat, which later turned out to be a hoax.
