A bit about Anand Piramal
While Anand is generally referred to as the son of Ajay Piramal of the Piramal group, there is more to his identity than that. He has an MBA degree from the Harvard Business School. The 33-year-old played a key role in acquiring prime land parcels across Mumbai and raised $434 million from Goldman Sachs and Warburg Pincus for his family-run conglomerate.
Isha-Anand's engagement was a grand affair
Earlier this year, Isha and Anand had exchanged rings in a grand ceremony at Lake Como and it was a star-studded affair. Interestingly, Anand had proposed to Isha at Mahabaleshwar temple during a family vacation. The proposal was celebrated with a grand party in May, after which the Ambanis had announced Isha-Anand's roka.
