Jaishankar rejects talks with Pakistan beyond terrorism

India's Foreign Minister S Jaishankar made it clear that India won't talk to Pakistan unless it stops supporting terrorism.
He pointed out that terror groups operate openly in Pakistani towns, calling them "corporate headquarters."
These strong words came after Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam attack on April 22 that killed 26 or 27 civilians.

TL;DR

Jaishankar holds Pakistan responsible

Jaishankar said, "We will not accept that the terrorists are proxies and somehow, therefore, the state is not culpable," making it clear he holds Pakistan responsible.
He also pushed back against US President Trump's claim that trade pressure was behind any ceasefire, and emphasized a recent call between PM Modi and US Vice President Vance, where Modi was impervious to Pakistani threats, reaffirming India's independent stand.

India says talks with Pakistan are off the table

At the UN, Jaishankar launched a digital showcase on major terror attacks like Pahalgam.
He urged countries not to let terrorists go unpunished or hide behind "proxies" or nuclear threats—insisting nations backing terror must be held accountable.
For now, India says talks with Pakistan are off the table until there's real change.
