Jaishankar suggests India-US trade deal nearing completion
India and the US are on the verge of sealing a new trade agreement, according to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
Speaking in New York, he highlighted how much the two countries have grown closer over the last 25 years and said both sides are working hard to find common ground.
"Negotiators in Washington are working on this," he shared, sounding hopeful about what's next.

Jaishankar also addressed talk about the US mediating between India and Pakistan. He made it clear that trade talks aren't mixed up with diplomatic mediation.
Sharing a behind-the-scenes moment, he mentioned how US leaders warned Prime Minister Modi about possible attacks during tense times, but Modi stayed firm.
All this comes as India and the US keep building ties—not just in trade.
