Jharkhand: 2 CoBRA jawans injured in Maoist IED blast
Two CRPF CoBRA commandos, Head Constable Alok Das and Constable Narayan Das, were hurt on Sunday when a Maoist-planted IED exploded near Baliba village in West Singhbhum district.
The blast happened during an anti-Naxal operation deep inside the Saranda forests—a region known for frequent Maoist activity.
Locals asked to remain alert, report suspicious activities
Both jawans got first aid right there in the jungle before being airlifted to Ranchi for advanced care; they were seriously injured.
Officials said the attack may have been prompted by recent successes in operations against Maoists.
Sadly, these blasts aren't rare—Saranda has seen several deadly explosions.
Locals are now being urged to stay alert and report anything suspicious while security teams continue combing the area for more threats.
