J&K to witness 1st snowfall of season on October 5
Jammu and Kashmir is gearing up for its first snowfall this season, starting October 5.
The weather will stay calm until the evening of October 4, then shift to rain, thunder, and gusty winds.
Expect snow in higher areas of North, Central, and South Kashmir, as well as Chenab Valley and Pir Panjal range between October 5-7.
Farmers advised to finish paddy harvesting by October 4
Heavy rain is on the cards for parts of Jammu Division—like Doda, Kishtwar, Kathua, and Udhampur—on October 6.
South Kashmir could see moderate to heavy rainfall too.
The Met Department has urged farmers to wrap up paddy harvesting by October 4 afternoon to avoid crop damage.
Also, a noticeable drop in daytime temperatures is expected from October 5-7, so keep an eye out for updates if you're planning anything outdoors.
