Jodhpur: 11 injured, 2 critical in gas cylinder blasts

India

In Hardhani village near Jodhpur, two gas cylinders exploded at farmer Veeram Ram's house while the family was prepping for upcoming weddings.
Eleven people were hurt—two are in critical condition, and others suffered burns or injuries from flying metal.
The incident has cast a shadow over the upcoming celebrations as the family and community focus on recovery.

Many injuries from flying iron pieces; welding work suspected

Most of the injured are being treated at Mathuradas Mathur Hospital, with a couple taken to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. Three others are receiving treatment at a private hospital in Bavdi.
According to Dr. Vikas Rajpurohit, many injuries came from iron pieces caused by the blasts.
An eyewitness shared that a second explosion followed right after the first, making things worse.
Early investigations suggest welding work near the cylinders may have triggered it, and police are now urging safer handling of gas cylinders to prevent this in future.
