Naveen Arora, a 40-year-old man with roots in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was shot dead in Firozpur, Punjab, on Sunday evening, India Today reported. Arora was the grandson of Dina Nath, a former RSS city head in Firozpur. The incident took place when he was returning home from his shop near Budhwara Wala Mohalla to spend time with his children.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Firozpur Bhupinder Singh Sidhu confirmed that two unidentified individuals shot Arora. He said teams are investigating the incident and analyzing CCTV footage from the area. The footage shows two men fleeing after the shooting. SSP Sidhu assured that multiple teams have been formed to trace these shooters, and they will be arrested soon.

BJP leader condemns shooting, demands swift action
Trade Association President Ashwini Mehta and relatives demanded quick arrests. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal also condemned the incident in a statement. He called the attackers "cowardly, gutter-born criminals" who created panic in Ferozepur's Mochi Bazaar. Grewal urged police to take strict action and demanded immediate arrests, referring to a similar firing incident that occurred a week earlier nearby.
