Legal trouble for Pawan Kalyan and Annamalai
A criminal case has been filed against Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, ex-Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai, and Hindu Munnani leaders for allegedly defying the Madras High Court's ban on political and communal speeches during the Lord Murugan Devotees Conference in Madurai.
The FIR was registered late Monday under sections 196(1)(a), 299, 302, and 353(1)(b)(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Speakers made political statements to crowd of over 100000
Despite clear court orders, speakers—including Kalyan—made political statements to a crowd of over 100,000 devotees.
The FIR accuses them of stirring up communal tensions and hurting religious feelings under the guise of spirituality.
Police are now investigating multiple organizers linked to RSS, BJP, and Sangh Parivar groups for possible legal violations.
