Lko triple suicide: In-Laws arrested over ₹40L dispute

In Lucknow, a cloth merchant named Shobhit Rastogi, his wife Suchita, and their teenage daughter died by suicide at home after struggling with heavy debt.
The family left a note explaining they couldn't repay loans totaling around ₹40-45 lakh, some of which came from private moneylenders.
They'd lived in Ashrafabad, but mounting financial pressure became overwhelming.

Arrests made in the case

After the deaths, police arrested Suchita's sister Mudita Rastogi and her husband Vivek Siddharth for abetment to suicide.
The Rastogis had lent about ₹40 lakh to Mudita's family against a promised land sale in Nepalganj, but later found out the land wasn't actually in Mudita's name.
Police are also looking into possible harassment by creditors as part of their ongoing investigation.
