Man kills live-in partner in Delhi after fight over money
India
In southwest Delhi's Chhawla, 35-year-old Virendra allegedly murdered his live-in partner during a drunken argument.
Police say he used his elbow to strangle the 44-year-old woman and pinned her to the bed.
Afterward, he called two friends for help moving the body but, too drunk to get far, left it in the car and went back inside to drink more.
What happened next
The next morning, a neighbor noticed the woman's body in the parked car and called police.
Officers arrested Virendra at home while he was still asleep.
The couple had lived together for two years and bought their house with money from her property sale just a few months ago.
Police are now searching for the two friends who helped move the body as part of their ongoing investigation.
