Meghalaya murder: Wife's temple visit ploy ends in tragedy
A newlywed couple's honeymoon in Meghalaya took a tragic turn when Raja Raghuvanshi went missing and was later found dead near Weisawdong Falls. Police say his wife, Sonam, had been planning his murder with her lover, Raj Kushwaha. The two had traveled to Meghalaya after their wedding on May 11, but behind the scenes, Sonam was allegedly setting up Raja's killing.
Wife's plan to kill husband
Investigators revealed Sonam convinced Raja to visit Kamakhya Temple before heading to their homestay in Nongriat—part of her plan. After Raja disappeared on May 23, Sonam fled but later surrendered to police. She and Raj, along with three hired killers, have now been arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy. The police are working to collect evidence and ensure justice is served in this disturbing case of betrayal.
