On Tuesday, services were disrupted on the Delhi-Gurugram Metro, popularly known as Yellow Line, due to a technical snag. As a result, thousands of commuters in Delhi and Gurugram were stranded this morning. The Yellow Line of DMRC runs between Samaypur Badli to Huda City Centre. This line serves as a connection between the National Capital and Gurugram. Here's what went down.

Trains won't run between Qutub Minar and Sultanpur: DMRC

Speaking on the issue, a senior DMRC official said, "Due to a technical snag at Chattarpur, train services have been affected on the Yellow Line. The issue is being rectified." He revealed that trains are being run on loops between Huda City Centre and Sultanpur and between Samaypur Badli and Qutub Minar. Meanwhile, train movement between Qutub Minar and Sultanpur has been halted.

As passengers suffered due to the snag, the official handle of DMRC tweeted, "Repair work currently in progress between Qutub Minar and Chhattarpur Metro stations. Metro's technicians and officials working on location to rectify the issue at the earliest."

Angry commuters took to Twitter to reveal what happened

Meanwhile, troubled passengers took to Twitter to reveal how the snag affected them. "#dmrc there is a train stuck near chatarpur, yellow line and people are suffocating. Please help asap" (sic), wrote Twitter user @TechnoGaurav. Separately, @LotiyaPathaan tweeted that train stopped after crossing INA and ACs weren't working. "All that's being announced is that 'we apologize for the inconvenience", the user wrote.
