Mild earthquakes hit Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka; no damage reported

India

On Tuesday morning, mild earthquakes hit parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
The first, a 3.7 magnitude quake, was felt in Alluri Sitharama Raju district around 4:19am and reached Visakhapatnam.
A second, smaller tremor (2.9 magnitude), struck Vijayapura district in Karnataka at 7:49am affecting nearby areas.

No injuries or structural damage

Both quakes happened at shallow depths—10km in Andhra Pradesh and just 5km in Karnataka—but thankfully caused no injuries or structural damage.
Disaster teams sent out quick alerts as a precaution but didn't need to take further action.

Stay prepared

India sits on several seismic zones, so small tremors like these are reminders to stay prepared—even if most pass without harm.
For now, though, everyone's okay and life goes on as usual.
