Monsoon intensifies, U.P. braces for heavy rainfall

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) says the southwest monsoon is about to get a lot more active, bringing heavy to very heavy rain and some thunderstorms with lightning over the next few days.

After July 1, the rain focus shifts south.
