Monsoon intensifies, U.P. braces for heavy rainfall

Heads up, UP!
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) says the southwest monsoon is about to get a lot more active, bringing heavy to very heavy rain and some thunderstorms with lightning over the next few days.

Eastern UP still running an 18% deficit

Northern and central districts can expect downpours from June 28-30, with the Terai region likely getting drenched on June 30.
After July 1, the rain focus shifts south.
Western UP has already seen extra rain this season, but eastern UP is still running an 18% deficit.
IMD is urging everyone to stay alert for possible flooding and keep an eye on weather updates.
