Mumbai elderly woman abandoned in garbage, grandson confesses

A 60-year-old woman, Yashoda Gaikwad, who has skin cancer, was found left alone in a Mumbai garbage dump—allegedly by her own grandson and uncle.
At first, the family claimed she wandered off, but CCTV footage showed otherwise.
Gaikwad now getting treatment at Cooper Hospital
Police have filed charges against both men for negligence and abandonment.
Thankfully, Gaikwad is now stable and getting care at Cooper Hospital for her skin condition.
The National Cancer Institute in Nagpur has also stepped up to offer her free treatment as she deals with both health issues.
