Mumbai's new airport takes off with 1st Bengaluru flight
Navi Mumbai just got its own international airport! The NMIA officially launched on Tuesday as its first commercial flight from Bengaluru touched down.
This marks a significant milestone for the city, with hopes that the airport will make travel smoother and more connected for everyone.
Futuristic vibes, eco-friendly focus
Passengers were buzzing about the experience—Ram Prasad said he flew in just to check out the new place and thanked Gautam Adani, who personally welcomed the passengers.
Others called the design "futuristic" and loved the spacious feel.
Built on 1,160 hectares, NMIA is all about sustainability too, using renewable energy and green building practices.
With plans to handle up to 90 million travelers a year someday, it's set to reshape how Navi Mumbai flies.
