Mumbai's water supply boosted by heavy rainfall
Thanks to some heavy monsoon showers, Mumbai's seven main water supply lakes have seen a huge jump in water levels—now at 25.17% capacity, up from just 13.18% a day ago.
That's way better than last year's 5.32%, giving the city a much-needed breather.
TL;DR
No risk of water cuts for now
These lakes—Tulsi, Vihar, Bhatsa, Tansa, Upper Vaitarna, Middle Vaitarna, and Modak Sagar—are the backbone of Mumbai's drinking water.
With reservoirs like Modak Sagar already at 27.20% and more rain on the way, officials say there's no risk of water cuts for now.
So you can expect your taps to keep running smoothly this season!
