Mysuru gets 4 times more rain than usual for October

Mysuru and nearby districts woke up to some serious rain from Saturday night into Sunday, with Mysuru clocking 15.1mm—way above the usual 3.4mm for this time in October.
Mandya and Chamarajanagar also saw much higher rainfall than normal, hitting 19.8mm and 16.6mm by Sunday morning.

Shanegere in Hassan district sees highest rainfall

Shanegere in Hassan district took the spotlight with a massive 171mm in just one day—the highest in the region.
From October 1-19, Hassan got 77% more rain than average, while Mysuru, Mandya, and Chamarajanagar also saw big jumps over their norms.
Kodagu was the odd one out with less rain than usual this month.
The KSNDMC says heavy showers are likely to continue in parts of Karnataka, so a yellow alert is on for Kodagu and Shivamogga until 8:30am on Monday.
