Negligence at Jalna hospital results in acid burns
At a government hospital in Bhokardan, Maharashtra, a pregnant woman named Sheela Bhalerao was accidentally burned when hydrochloric acid—meant for cleaning—was put on her abdomen instead of medical jelly during delivery.
Thankfully, despite the burns, both Sheela and her newborn are safe.
The mistake happened after a sanitation worker placed the acid on the medicine tray by accident.
