NIA takes over probe into Red Fort blast

India

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is now leading the investigation into the recent blast at Delhi's iconic Red Fort.
This move was decided in a high-level meeting on Tuesday, led by Home Minister Amit Shah and top security officials, aiming to get to the bottom of what happened.

Key developments in the case

Police have seized 358kg of suspected ammonium nitrate from a village in Faridabad, believed to be linked to the case.
Investigators are also tracking a Hyundai i20 car spotted near key locations around the time of the blast.
The focus is currently on a 34-year-old suspect from Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, while forensic teams and NSG experts work together to piece things together.
