Nigerian man dupes 100+ women on language exchange app
Delhi Police have arrested Stephane (also known as K Cee Dominic), a 29-year-old Nigerian national, for allegedly scamming more than 100 women from across India via a language exchange app.
Pretending to be "Duck Young," a UK-based Korean jewelry businessman, he built trust with victims by promising relationships or business deals, then tricked them into sending money by claiming he was stuck at immigration and needed help.
Dominic overstayed his tourist visa since arriving in India
The scam came to light when one woman reported losing ₹48,500 after being pressured by people pretending to be officials.
Cyber Police traced Dominic through call records, bank details, and social media, arresting him in Tilak Nagar, west Delhi.
His phone showed chats with more than 100 victims.
He admitted to overstaying his tourist visa since arriving in India in 2019 and turning to cyber fraud when his money ran out.
Police are investigating the case further.
